Facade System : Woodfac Panel

Located in Hermodsgade, Copenhagen, the former Electrolux factory building has been brought back to life as student housing with 189 residences.

Rather than demolishing the 87 year old factory, it has been transformed into a new, sustainable building. For the facade, Nordisk Profil supplied the Woodfac Panel system, a closed timber facade solution that protects the building from the elements while still allowing it to breathe. The wooden lamellae are sustainably sourced and thoroughly fire-tested, and the Woodfac system remains the only installed facade solution on the market classified and tested to B-s1,d0 / B-s2,d0 ensuring both safety and long term durability.
